23rd Santos International Coffee Seminar

We are ready to host you at the 23rd edition Santos International Coffee Seminar, sponsored by the Santos Commercial Association and organized by its’ Coffee Exporters Sectorial Chamber, scheduled for May 12th and 13th, 2021 in Guarujá, São Paulo.

Once again our seminar will be held at the Sofitel Jequitimar thereby guaranteeing comfort and safety. The privileged ocean front location, affords an ideal setting for two days of debates, meetings, business, brand and company expositions and the already traditional President’s Closing Dinner.

The 23rd edition Santos International Coffee Seminary has as it central theme:

“Is Brazil ready to supply the world’s growing demand?”

Brazil has, over the past many years, repeatedly broken coffee production, export, consumption and processing records as it approaches 40% of the world’s coffee consumption.

With over 300 thousand producers working an estimated 2 million hectares, the Brazilian coffee sector is focused on social and environmental issues, thereby working towards assuring sustainable coffee production.

Production follows tight labor and environmental regulations. Legislation that respects biodiversity and those working the field, including restrictions toward situations likened to slave or child labor conditions.

The 2018 world coffee demand was set at 165 million 60 kg- bags. If we use a conservative growth rate of 2%, the demand will rise to about 209 million bags in 2030. Should we choose a slightly more aggressive rate at 2.5% the world will require 222 million bags in 2030.

We are currently at a comfortable balance between supply and demand. As this shifts who will supply the growing demand? Is Brazil ready to meet this challenge?

We believe so!

Let’s work on this together!

We are expecting you here!
